Living in NYC since 2001, I found yoga as a September 11 survivor as a form to relieve the post traumatic symptoms of the catastrophic events of this day.
I began teaching yoga in 2008 after completing a Baron Baptiste based Power Yoga training in NYC while studying Art History at Hunter College and working in prominent art galleries.
In 2010, I added a more meditation based approach to yoga through completing the Conquering Lion Teacher Training with Kelly Morris, which I later assisted as a mentor, and have studied Kundalini yoga under Hari Kaur, Astanga yoga with David Williams in Hawaii, and under Schuyler Grant at Kula Yoga. I am also certified to teach Pilates, a modality I love due to its therapeutic approach to strengthening, which is a core to my teaching style.
I have trained numerous teachers at Good Yoga Brooklyn, The Standard Miami, Embodied Philosophy TT, and have been a contributing member of their respective teacher training programs. I recently launched the 200-hour Lila Flow Teacher Training and Mentorship Curriculum while also continue to advise and contribute to curriculums in various studios. I am a registered with Yoga Alliance as a 500 hour E-RYT.
In 2014, I founded Love Surf Yoga, a yoga, surf and wellness based company focused on leading retreats worldwide.
I have been featured in Yahoo en Espanol, The Inertia, The Inertia Health, Yoga + Life magazine, numerous times in YogaCity, and done many videos online for companies such as Lululemon, Equinox, Paragon Sports and Chalk Gyms . I have worked with numerous brands as a consultant, including working on developing a yoga mat for Calvin Klein and helped for two seasons with designs at Lululemon.
I teach aligned and energetic vinyasa flows with attention to anatomy, pranayama, and precise alignment, with fun music and some meditation. I also teach super strengthening pilates classes for all levels. Join me!
